Rule 4 — Attitude Towards Chastity
G.R. Taylor's Rules of Matrism/Patrism Explained

Patrists revere chastity
Tradition demands that citizens place their private concerns second to the needs of the community, that is, citizens must place the requirements of duty ahead of the temptations of their instincts. This means prizing chastity as an important part of this restraint.

Matrists despise chastity
Whereas the unbridled instinct of Matrists, which elevates the self and its appetites to supreme control, has no use for restraints and condemns chastity as the badge of the novice.
